CTP-FCR: Improving cane crop resilience by overcoming the legacy effects on photosynthesis during the recovery from short-term combined stresses
The higher prevalence of abiotic stresses in the changing UK climate will have a major impact on crop yields and quality. While the impact of acute stress has been demonstrated to quickly lower marketable yields and berry quality, the impact of the legacy effects of these short-term stresses on subsequent plant productivity and yield remain less well-characterised.
